Effective: October 5, 2026
KanKan does not send what you write, or your events, to-dos and sticky notes, to the developer, and does not pass them to the ad SDK. There is no account, sign-in, subscription, in-app purchase or analytics tool, and the developer runs no server. On iPhone and iPad, a Google AdMob banner ad appears at the bottom of the screen. To show it, Google processes the information described under "Ads" below. There are no ads on Mac.
The plans you type are processed on your device by Apple Intelligence's on-device model. They don't leave your device, and no one, including the developer, can see them. The results are saved as shown in the table below.
| Data | Purpose | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Events (title, date, time) | Added to your calendar | Your Apple Calendar |
| To-dos (title, date, done or not) | Shown under each day | On your device and in your iCloud |
| Sticky notes (text, color) | Shown on the board | On your device and in your iCloud |
| Settings (calendars shown, target calendar) | How the app works | On your device |
KanKan asks for full access to your calendars so it can add events and read them. Events it reads are used only to show your week and month in the app, and they don't leave your device. You can turn off access at any time in Settings (System Settings on Mac) > Privacy & Security > Calendars.
To-dos and sticky notes are stored in your own private iCloud database and sync between devices that use the same Apple Account. This data lives in Apple's CloudKit private area, and the developer cannot view it. If you turn off iCloud, the data stays on your device only.
Widgets read only a summary file that the app writes to a shared folder on your device. This file doesn't leave your device either.
To let you know when a new version is out, the app asks the public App Store lookup service (itunes.apple.com/lookup) for KanKan's latest version number, at most once a day. It sends only KanKan's app identifier and a country code, never information about you or anything you wrote. The version number it receives is stored only on your device.
KanKan shows a Google AdMob banner ad in one line at the bottom of the screen on iPhone and iPad. The Mac app has no ads and does not include the ad SDK.

If you see an inappropriate ad, please let us know by email. We'll check it and block it.
Some US states, such as Texas, require app stores and developers to check users' ages.
KanKan does not sell your data or give it to third parties. The information described under "Ads" is collected and processed directly by Google while ads are shown. KanKan uses no analytics or crash reporting tools.
Deleting the app removes the to-dos, sticky notes and settings on that device. To delete KanKan data in iCloud, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage. Events added to your calendar stay in your calendar. You can delete them in the Calendar app or in KanKan.
KanKan is not directed at children under 13. Ads are requested as non-personalized only, users Apple reports as under 13 see no ads (see "Age range" above), and the developer does not collect personal information from children.
If a new feature changes how data is handled, we'll update this page, change the effective date at the top, and mention it in the app's update notes.
